The only registered voters who will be receiving a ballot for the March 19th Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) & Municipal Elections will be registered Republicans across the county and voters residing in Hillsboro Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Pembroke Pines, and Sea Ranch Lakes. Voters registered as Democrats, No Party Affiliation, or any Minor Political Party living outside of these four cities will NOT have candidates or referendums to vote for on March 19th.

Florida is a closed primary election state. Only voters who are registered members of political parties may vote for respective party candidates or nominees for an office in a primary election. Broward County Voter Registration Books close 29 days before any election. The Deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation for the upcoming March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election is February 20, 2024.

Attention Candidates

We would like to inform you that the qualifying office for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections is located at the Governmental Center - 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Room 102, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. If you are planning to submit candidate forms or petitions, please ensure that you do so at the Governmental Center during our regular business hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.


Form 1 Statement of Financial Interest

Beginning January 1, 2024, each person required to file a Statement of Financial Interest (Form 1) will be required to do so electronically with the Florida Commission on Ethics via the new Electronic Financial Disclosure Management System (EFDMS). It will begin with the e-filing of the 2023 Form 1, Form 1X, and 2024 Form 1F.

Local officers that are required to file the Form 1 and Form 1X for 2022 and prior, as well as, Form 1F for 2023 and prior will need to submit the paper version of the form with the Supervisor of Elections office of the county in which they reside.
