Meet Our Directors

Fred S Bellis

Election Operations Coordinator/Executive Assistant

Mr. Bellis joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on May 17, 2004 as the Executive Assistant and Election Operations Coordinator to the Supervisor of Elections and is responsible for administrative work including coordinating and participating in special projects as assigned by the Supervisor of Elections. Fred Bellis serves as a liaison between the Supervisor of Elections and various government entities.

Ken Lieberman, CPA

Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

Mr. Lieberman joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on October 1, 2003, and is responsible for overall administration and operation of the finance and human resources departments under the organizational structure of the Supervisor of Elections office. His responsibilities require an extensive knowledge of the operation of governmental systems and financial structure.

Linda Levinson

Finance Director

Ms. Levinson joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on October 24, 1988. Her position is an advanced administrative and professional accounting work under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and the Supervisor of Elections. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, she assists in the preparation of the annual budget, audits and all financial reports to be reviewed by the Supervisor of Elections. Her work involves responsibility for supervising the activities of the Accounts Payable Specialist and Purchasing Agent of the Supervisor of Elections office.

Jorge Nunez

I.T. Director

Mr. Nunez joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on April 25, 2005 and is responsible for managing, planning and directing the activities of the Information Technology Department. He is responsible for the administration and direction of all staff and functions of the Information Technology Department. Mr. Nunez is responsible to ensure cost efficient and effective operation of information technology services.

Pat Nesbit

Election Day Operations Director

Ms. Nesbit joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on July 16, 1990 and is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Election Day Operations Department including Polling Places, Pollworkers, and Training, under the direction of the Supervisor of Elections.

Mary Hall

Voter Services and Registration Director

Ms. Hall joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on May 4, 1986 and is responsible for managing, planning and directing the activities of Absentee Ballots, Early Voting, Petitions and Voter Registration in the Voter Services Department. Mary Hall is responsible to ensure security and integrity of Absentee Ballot, Early Voting processing and cost efficient and effective operation of voter services for the Supervisor of Elections organization through strategic planning to promote Supervisor of Elections operations.

Ed Solomon

Election Planning and Development Director

Mr. Solomon joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on July 9, 2001 and is responsible for the administration and direction of all staff and functions required for election ballot coding, preparation and tabulation.

Dozel Spencer

Voting Equipment Center (VEC) Director

Mr. Spencer joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on October 3, 2005 and is responsible for the overall planning and directing activities of the Voting Equipment Center under the direction of the Supervisor of Elections. Work involves responsibility for the administration and direction of all warehouse operations. He is responsible to ensure cost efficient and effective preparation for elections including distribution and collection of equipment and supplies.

Gino Herring

Voter Education and Outreach Director

Mr. Herring joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on April 21, 2003 and is responsible for the administration and direction of all staff and functions of voter education and outreach.

Mary Cooney

Public Services Director

Ms. Cooney joined the Broward County Supervisor of Elections on August 18, 1993 and is responsible for the management and administrative work of Candidate Qualifying, municipal liaison functions and Regional Sites. Mary Cooney is the chief liaison for candidates, political parties, political committees and municipalities in Broward County . She serves as the custodian of all candidate and political committee’s filings as well as financial disclosure filings for appropriate Broward County public officials.
