Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot to be Mailed for the March 12, 2013 Elections |

| For Immediate Release Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot to be Mailed for the March 12, 2013 Elections Broward County, Florida (February 20, 2013) -The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office will continue mailing absentee ballots to voters upon request as long as the request is received by the deadline - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Requests can be made by mail, e-mail, in person or by calling (954)357-7055 the 24 hour/ 7 day a week line. All voted Absentee Ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections’ Main Office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Many of the long standing absentee ballot requests on file for voters expired in 2012. Voters are reminded that a request is only valid for two election cycles, so it may be necessary to renew the request this year. Voters are reminded of the following absentee voting tips: · Ensure your ballot is received by the Elections Office by Election Day, March 12 no later than 7:00 p.m. Post marks do not count. · Remember to sign the Voter Certificate at the red X after sealing the envelope · It is important that the signature on the absentee ballot envelope matches the signature the Elections Department has on record. · Any ballots received after 7:00 p.m. Election Day will not be counted even if they are postmarked on March 12, 2013. · Use care in choosing who you give the Ballot to if hand delivering · Do not give your Ballot to a stranger DR.
