Voters to Receive Sample Ballot in the Mail |

| For Immediate Release Voters to Receive Sample Ballot in the Mail Broward County, Florida (July 21, 2010) -Broward voter households should be on the look out for a Generic Primary Sample Ballot arriving in the mail shortly. The sample ballot contains the candidates for the Primary Election and important election information that will help the voter prepare to vote. For this upcoming August 24th election, please remember that Florida is a closed primary state and only voters with a major party affiliation are eligible to vote in a primary when electing that party’s nominee for the general election. All voters, regardless of affiliation may vote for nonpartisan races and issues. Important Dates: Last Day to Register to Vote or Change Your Party for the Upcoming Primary Election Monday, July 26, 2010 Early Voting Monday, August 9 - Saturday, August 14, 2010 Monday, August 16 - Saturday, August 21, 2010 Hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Please go to www.browardsoe.org Last Day to Request that an Absentee Ballot be Mailed Wednesday August 18, 2010 Primary Election Day Tuesday, August 24, 2010 Dr. Brenda C.
